A dental emergency includes anything causing pain, swelling, or damage to your teeth, gums, or jaw, such as a knocked-out tooth, a cracked or broken tooth, a severe toothache, or an infection. If you’re unsure, call us. We’ll help you determine the next steps.
What should I do if I knock out a tooth?
Try to place the tooth back in the socket (without touching the root) or store it in milk or saliva. Then call us immediately. Acting quickly gives us the best chance to save your tooth.
Can I walk in, or do I need an appointment for an emergency?
We always do our best to accommodate same-day dental emergencies. Give us a call before arriving so we can prepare for your visit and get you seen as quickly as possible.
What if I have a dental emergency outside of office hours?
Call the office and follow the after-hours instructions on our voicemail. We monitor messages and will get back to you as soon as possible to guide you on what to do next.
